Gaming Republic - Moving Forward

05 Nov 2014

Posted by Drunkie Munkie in News & Announcements

It needs no imagination or mystic meg to see that Arma2 and DayZ are slowing to a smooth halt.

But let’s consider the name of our community: Gaming Republic,

I see no distinct reason as to why we should allow GR to follow the same path and cease to be the living community and banter town of the internet.

We at GR have seen these dips in player counts and we have continued to support and offer our community new ways to engage.

These are my suggestions of moving forward and inviting players to join into the community:

·         Rust

·         7 Days To Die

·         KSP

·         Space Engineers

·         MineCraft (possibly)

These servers will be live in the coming days and our Arma2 servers will be reviewed also.

·         OmigaaaD is away, once we have him back i plan on catching up with him and seeing what we should do next in regards to Arma 2&3

·         Phoenix is still fully supporting his Origins server, and we are happy to continue to support him with that.

I'm always open to suggestions, we have been in these slow transitions before, all it takes is some planning and complete open communication.

It’s me dM, not some bellend that you can’t steam chat to or direct forum message, talk to me, honestly, i will listen and do anything i can to support you and of course GR.  :fun:

Battleye Failed to update issue

23 Oct 2014

If manually updating your BEClient.dll (from http://www.battleye.com/download.html) doesn't work and the update keeps getting downloaded in-game something is obviously wrong with your file permissions.

To fix this please go to "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\DayZ" (make sure that you can see hidden files and folders) and delete your BattlEye folder there. After that the new version (that you manually downloaded before) should be correctly loaded.

Overpoch Origins Chernarus Downtime (Sorry)...

23 Oct 2014

Server: Overpoch Origins Cherno

Sorry for any down time. The host have been experiencing problems since around 4PM yesterday. I have no access to the server right now and their isn't much I can do at this point in time. I have tried to contact the host as it is also affecting 100's of servers they currently own but myself and other users have had no response in the last 12 hours.

It's not the 1st problem I have had with them. They started out great but they have now been flooded with customers and just don't have the staff currently to keep up with the demand. I'm a little more pee'd off due to having no response from them and I think it may be time to find a new host. For now, I expect the server should be back up within the next 6 hours.

Thankyou for ur patience

Imp ;)
